Tea Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F.
  2. Equipment:
    • 1 — Large Mixing Bowl
    • 1 — Butter Knife
    • 1 — Tablespoon Measure
    • 1 — Teaspoon Measure
    • 1 — Cup Measure
    • 1 — ⅓ Cup Measure
    • 1 — ¼ tsp Measure
    • 1 — Cookie Sheet
  3. Ingredients:
    • 2 cups — Flour
    • 3 Tbs — Sugar
    • 5 tsp — Baking Powder
    • ¼ tsp — Salt
    • ⅓ cup — Butter (cold)
    • 1 cup — Buttermilk
  4. Butter and flour the cookie sheet.
  5. Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Cut in butter until it's in very small pieces.
  7. Add milk and mix dough with fingers.
  8. Knead half a dozen times.
  9. Separate into a dozen pieces, shape into pucks, and lightly dust with flour.
  10. Bake for 10 minutes.
  11. Turn over and bake for 5 to 8 minutes more.
