Preparation:

• Combine and save in a well labelled and sealed zipper bag:
  • 100 g Sugar.
  • 40 g Borax.

Use:

• Mix:
  • 1 tsp sugar/borax mixture.
  • 2 tsp Warm Water.
• Thoroughly stir to dissolve borax.
• Soak a cotton ball or gauze in solution.
• Place in location where ants have been seen.

Monitor:

• Occasionally add more water to prevent the solution from drying out.
• If necessary, add new solution.
• The ants should stop to drink the solution and then return to the nest to let others know about it. After a few hours there should be a continuous stream of ants coming to drink.
• The ants at the nest, in particular the queen, will eat what the other ants bring back.
• After a day or two, only a few ants will return, and they will appear somewhat drunk.
• Eventually there will be no more.
