Preparation:
- Combine and save in a well labelled and sealed zipper bag:
Use:
- Mix:
- 1 tsp sugar/borax mixture.
- 2 tsp Warm Water.
- Thoroughly stir to dissolve borax.
- Soak a cotton ball or gauze in solution.
- Place in location where ants have been seen.
Monitor:
- Occasionally add more water to prevent the solution from drying out.
- If necessary, add new solution.
- The ants should stop to drink the solution and then return to the nest to let others know about it. After a few hours there should be a continuous stream of ants coming to drink.
- The ants at the nest, in particular the queen, will eat what the other ants bring back.
- After a day or two, only a few ants will return, and they will appear somewhat drunk.
- Eventually there will be no more.
