Chocolate Fibre Cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Equipment:
    • 1 — Large Mixing Bowl
    • 1 — Small fork
    • 1 — Spoon
    • 1 — 1 Teaspoon Measure
    • 1 — 1 Tablespoon Measure
    • 1 — ¼ cup Measure
    • 1 — ½ cup Measure
    • 1 — 1 cup Measure
    • 2 — Baking Sheets (foil-lined and greased)
  3. Cream with fork:
    • ¼ cup — Butter
    • ¼ cup — Sugar
    • ¼ cup — Brown Sugar
  4. Beat in with fork:
    • 1 — Egg
  5. Stir in with spoon:
    • 2 Tbs — Maple Syrup
    • 1 tsp — Vanilla Extract
    • ½ cup — Bran Buds
  6. Cover with all five ingredients, in this order, then mix:
    • 1 cup — Whole-wheat Flour
    • 1 tsp — Baking Soda
    • 1 tsp — Baking Powder
    • 1 cup — Oatmeal
    • ½ cup — Oat Bran
  7. Stir in:
    • 1 cup — Chocolate Chips
  8. Bake:
    • 24 small (or 12 large) cookies
    • 350°F
    • 15 minutes
  9. Cool:
    • 10 minutes
  10. Eat:
    • 2 minutes
