- Preheat oven to 425°F.
- Ingredients:
- 300 g (2 cups) — Flour
- 40 g (3 Tbs) — Sugar
- 15 g (1½ Tbs) — Baking Powder
- 1½ g (¼ tsp) — Salt
- 80 g (⅓ cup)— Butter (cold)
- 250 g (1 cup) — Buttermilk (or milk with a spoonful of vinegar)
- Butter and flour the cookie sheet.
- Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Cut in butter until it's in very small pieces.
- Add milk and mix dough with fingers.
- Knead half a dozen times.
- Separate into ten or twelve pieces, shape into pucks,
and lightly dust with flour.
- Bake for 10 minutes.
- Turn over and bake for 5 to 8 minutes more.
